what i've done
i began writing and performing original songs in high school at the age of 16. due to my involvement with choir, fellow artists and collaborators were very easily accessible. due to this, i began collaborating with fellow artists early on in my songwriting practice, and performed many producing skills, such as composing a piece based on the artist's vission, networking, leading rehearsals and recording sessions, etc. before I was even aware of what producing is.
at the age of 18, once i had established my songwriting practice, i began to delve into the world of sound engineering. like anything else, it took a lot of mistakes and frankly, bad songs, to get where i am today. it was the difficulty i experienced when teaching myself sound engineering that pushed me to go back to school. within the first year of studying with Berklee i gained a tremendous knowledge of what it means to produce a song from start to finish - from songwriting to composing, mixing, mastering and publishing.
since then, I have released several songs and have gained expereinced promoting them via social media. within the past couple of years, I have collaborated with other artist's taking on the artist, producer, and engineer role sometimes individually, but often all at the same time. it brings me an abundant joy and sense of fulfillment to help fellow artist's and friends create a piece of art that captures a part of their soul and shares it with the rest of the world. producing will always be a central part of my life, and although i have not transitioned into making it my career quite yet, i have no doubt that by continuing to follow my passion, I will end up exactly where I want to be.
